We attended Eric Sherer's Dumping Debt class at Northampton Community College. We found the class to be extremely helpful and motivating. Eric supplied all the tools to get us started. After getting started in class, we decided we really wanted some one-on-one coaching. We set up our first appointment about 6 months ago. Eric helped review our current budget making recommendations to accomodate for our current financial situation. Dear Eric,
When we came to your office in February 2010 we were at our wits end, in a crises mode, confused about our finances and needed professional advice. For the next six months, with your guidance, we prioritized, put a plan in motion and began to understand where we were and how to pay off an enormous amount of debt.
As we began to work the plan, we contacted our creditors, set up payment schedules and started to use the budget you set up for us. I worked the budget each month, am not discouraged at obstacles that come our way (and they do), and feel at peace. You walked us through the messy parts and showed us the way. The comforting aspect was that you understood because you walked in our shoes and are now debt free.
